Exchange live - Film Project
Logline
This is a film about revenge. A young lady is paranoid that a doctor at Yu Zhen Tang (a Chinese medical clinic) killed her mother and she embarks on a revenge plan to get the cowardly doctor into prison.
In the evocative film "Exchange Life" (《换命》), I served as both a Gaffer and Architect throughout the production phases. Alongside my colleague Lin Ruofan, we engineered the lighting to narrate the film's unfolding story through nuanced shades and intensities.
Furthering my involvement, I partnered with architecture faculty and students to design and erect the set's lightweight wooden framework. After the structure's completion, I collaborated with a dedicated team to finalize the interior design, which contributed to the film's compelling aesthetic.
"Exchange Life" went on to garner 13 international awards, including Best Film lighting at the New York Cinematography Awards 2022. For more details on my role and the film's achievements, please visit [ website link]
